Charlecote Park

Charlecote Park is a National Trust place not too far from Warwick and Stratford upon Avon. Beautiful parts of the country! Charlecote Park has over 800 years of family history. 800 years! The buildings are great to look at and around and the views of the surrounding area was stunning!

We met up with my brothers and one of my sisters-in-law here and we were so impressed with how beautiful it was! Most National Trust places we’ve been to have been family friendly, but we’re never sure how family friendly/kid friendly they’ll be until we’re there. This one was a hit with all ages!

Whilst Charlecote doesn’t have a big play park area for kids, it does have lots for the kids to do! There’s a picnic area which is near a bird hide and an enclosed little wooded play area, which had a lovely game of ‘naughts and crosses’.

There’s a great walk where you can see all the sheep and deer close up. Just watch out for all the poop! The parterre garden was bursting with such bright colours! It was stunning! The kids loved it! There were lots of butterflies to chase too!

We had lots of fun exploring the grounds and find a sundial as well as lots of other fun and interesting things. We spent the whole afternoon here, we stayed into it closed! We were so busy enjoying the outside of the house, that we didn’t get to check out the inside! We plan on going back and taking a look inside though!

For more pictures take a look on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

We would definitely recommend a visit!
