Wow wow WOW! What a weekend!! It was freckled face number 1’s birthday and instead of a party he decided that he wanted to stay in The Knights Village at Warwick Castle. We had an AMAZING time!!
The car journey didn’t appeal to us; car journeys never do when you have kids with travel sickness, right!? I bought some lollipops and travel sickness sweets for the journey and we set off playing our favourite car game, ‘Guess which film the song is from’. Someone starts singing a song and the others have to guess which film it is from. Always fun and eases the journey! We arrived and met up with Nanna and Grandad (who are over from Canada – another reason for the kids being super excited).
I don’t even know where to start! The grounds and the Castle itself have so much to offer! There are shows on throughout the day; birds of prey, bowman, etc. The music they played helps with the atmosphere. There is a fun maze, princess tower, time tower, and so much more!
After a really great, fun first day we were pretty hungry! For dinner, we decided to do the Banquet Dinner. When weren’t too sure at first, as when we looked at it online it seemed quite expensive, but after experiencing it it really is worth every single penny!!! We didn’t know that there was a kids option until after we had ordered, but they were happy to change it. And the kids were happier with their own choices, so made it less stressful! It was delicious food and great entertainment from the Knight.
The staff were FANTASTIC! they really helped make the experience outstanding and one to remember! The decor all around; in the banquet hall and in the Knight’s Lodge; it was all fantastic and added so much to the whole experience! The beds were comfy and there was plenty of space, the shower was good and there was a mini fridge. Everything was there that you would need for a GREAT short stay!
I will be putting pictures on our Instagram account, and I have also put together a video on YouTube. Take a look and let me know what you think!
If you ever get the chance to go, GO! You won’t regret it!
Thanks for reading!
This looks so fun! Do you think that older teenagers would enjoy it too? Is it adult friendly, or really the most fun for younger ones?
If you didn’t have children with you, would you still have enjoyed it?

I definitely would still go without young kids! I’d say the only bit that was more for the younger kids was the Knight training with the banquet dinner. Still fun to watch though! If you do go, let me what you think!

What a FABULOUS adventure! It does look like it was worth every single penny — and the kids will likely remember this for the rest of their lives. You can’t put a price on that. 🙂
