We love basketball, so we were VERY excited when Manchester Giants offered us an opportunity to go and try out their birthday party package!! Unfortunately for Freckled Faces 3 and 4 the parties are aimed at children between 7 – 10 years. Freckled Faces 1 and 2 got to go and join in the fun and games though and wanted to tell you all about it. Here goes!
When we arrived we were given T-Shirts that had the Manchester Giant’s Logo on the front with a big bee on the back with #beeGIANT. We were taken to the Basketball Court and went down to the bottom to meet our coaches. There was another party going on at the top half of the court.
It was REALLY FUN! We played different games and burnt off lots of energy! We did different drills and learnt new skills. Towards the end 2 of the members from the team came and joined in with us which was cool!
After we had done all that we went in to the cafeteria area and had pizza, chips, drink and cake.
We then got to go in and watch the Manchester Giants play against the Newcastle Eagles! It was awesome! We really enjoyed watching the game and cheering them on.
At have time the cheerleaders came on the the court and performed for everyone – that was really fun to watch too!
After the third quarter we were taken on to the court before the last quarter started. When the game had finish we could go and get the players autographs too!
We had a great time and would recommend having your birthday party with Manchester Giants!
