Exploring Greenway Bank Country Park

Greenway bank country park. Walks in Stoke-on-Trent. 4 Freckled Faces.

Since moving house (and towns) last summer, we have been trying to explore different areas close by.

One of our new favourite places is Greenway Bank Country Park in Stoke-on-Trent. It is so peaceful and picturesque. Well….as peaceful as it can be when you’re visiting with 4 lively kids!

Greenway bank country park. Lake. Trees. Scenic walks in Stoke-on-Trent. 4 Freckled Faces.

It has 2 entrances and car parks. There are a few different paths you can take. There are lakes, streams, little waterfalls, great climbing trees, bridges, and a castle (or so the 4 Freckled Faces like to call it!). One entrance has a play park too, and I believe a visitors centre. We’ve not spent time in that area yet.

With many different paths to choose from, you can be there for as long or as little time as you like. There are a couple of picnic benches near the car park and in the play park area, so can sit and eat before you set off for a walk.

Our 4 Freckled Faces enjoy it because they can explore, climb trees and play in some of the streams.

Questions and Answers

Is there a car park?

There are 2 car parks. Guess what – they both offer FREE PARKING! Don’t you just love free parking!? I do!

Can you take dogs?

Yep! Just take poop bags and use them! Also, please put them in the bins after use and not leave the bags on the ground.

Are there toilets?

Not that we’ve seen! Though I believe there may be some in the visitors centre near the play park area.

Is it worth visiting?

Absolutely! Take a drink and a few snacks and go and spend a few hours in Nature. Surrounded by beautiful views and the sounds of birds chirping. Well worth a visit!
