Dorset

So following on from our Easter school holidays, here’s where we went on our week away and what we did!

We stayed at Rockley Park (Haven) in Poole, Dorset. We had a ‘Prestige Caravan’. It was fine for the week, but not sure we could do any longer! We need a bit more room than it offers! It was good to have a park, swimming pool, and all the other entertainment options right there on site. After the loooong drive (good old traffic and roadworks!) to get there, we decided to hang about for the first 2 days on the site. Staying out of the car!

We then ventured off to visit Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Wow! Just WOW! So beautiful! Lots of walking to Durdle Door, but worth it! You can check out some of our pics on Instagram!

We also spent some time in Bournemouth. We visited Oceanarium which was fun and found this nearby…

Poole Quay provided us with a nice evening, lovely to walk by and look at the boats and, of course, some good old fish and chips! In England, by the sea… it has to be Fish and Chips, right?? We also bumped in to this guy…. (let me know in the comments if you think you know who he is, I’ll let you know if you’re right!)

On the way home we stopped at Kingston Lacey House. In the house itself, it’s amazing! Sadly only a few members of staff there were child friendly, we very much appreciated those staff members! The grounds were great! A fab natural play area, an area to build dens, and great walks, pretty gardens, etc.

It’s always nice to get away and have some family time, away from all the rushing around in normal day to day lives!
