Our little Freckled Face #3 is a big doughnut fan! So much so that she asked for a doughnut maker for Christmas! She was over the moon when she opened up a mini doughnut maker on Christmas morning! Haha
She will eat pretty much anything if it is in doughnut form! We have some fun with it sometimes and experiment. We thought we would share our recipe from yesterday with you! It’s one of our safer options! Not as strange as some of the others!
Banana and Blueberry DoughnutsÂ
*we use a mini doughnut maker*
Ingredients
- 4-5 bananas (mashed)
- 1/4 cup of cooking butter (soft/room temperature)
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 3 cups of plain flour (you may need another half cup)
- 1tsp baking powder
- 1tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of halved blueberries
Mix the bananas, butter, sugar, eggs and milk together for a few minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until the dough has formed. It should be airy and not too sticky.
Spoon the dough in the doughnut maker and leave to bake for about 4 minutes.
*if you want to make them sugary doughnuts, dip them into melted butter and then dip them in sugar (we like to do a sugar and cinnamon mix)*
Enjoy!
